Worldsfeed Tech Desk: Apple is set to reveal its new AI features on June 10th at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024. If you can’t attend the event in Cupertino, California, you can watch the keynote live at 1PM ET on YouTube, the Apple TV app, or Apple’s events page.

At WWDC, Apple is expected to introduce new AI capabilities in its upcoming iOS update. These include voice memo transcriptions, custom emojis generated instantly, and improved Siri functions that can control specific app features.

While many of these AI features will work directly on your device, some will use cloud services powered by Apple’s M2 Ultra servers, emphasizing the company’s focus on privacy. Additionally, Apple is likely to announce a partnership with OpenAI, allowing deeper integration of ChatGPT into iOS.

Aside from AI, Apple may highlight other updates, such as new UI designs for Apple Photos, settings apps on iOS and macOS, and Control Center. The Messages app might get a fun new feature that adds special effects to individual words in text messages. Apple is also expected to reveal visionOS 2.0 for the Vision Pro, featuring new functionalities and native versions of first-party apps previously only available on iPad.

There will be no new hardware announcements at WWDC 2024, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Don’t miss the livestream on June 10th at 1PM ET on YouTube or Apple’s site. Keep an eye on The Verge for the latest updates and important news from the event.
